GREAT HALL
PRS is pleased to announce that our Toronto event will be held at The Great Hall, located at 1087 Queen St West. This historic building was originally built in 1889 by the Moore Corporation, and housed the first YMCA in Toronto’s west end. The building was sold to the Royal Templars of Temperance in 1912. In 1940, the Polish National Union purchased the building, using the ground floor to print The Polish Voice newspaper and the upper floor as housing for Polish refugees of WWII. It was not until the mid-1980′s that The Great Hall became what it is today, a venue for artists, musicians, and gatherings of other kinds. The Great Hall also houses a cafe and bar.

In addition to its colorful history, Toronto’s Great Hall is rumored to be home to a variety of paranormal phenomena. These have been witnessed by guests, employees, and visiting performers. According to one report, a group of musicians was visited by the spirit of a young boy. Additionally, previous paranormal teams have recorded activity throughout the space, including EVPs and other, more physical experiences. Now, PRS invites you to join us at this haunted location. Perhaps you will be able to help us determine if the rumors are true…
